Consist Switches

Network requirements continuously evolve and push in the direction of complex data management. The managed Consist Switch has been specifically designed to keep up with the evolving trends and to enable the implementation of different network topologies in a consist considering such unique environment. Special attention has been paid to the implementation of protocols capable of drastically reducing first installations, configuration as well as maintenance phases costs. Moreover, Consist switch allows a complete automatic reconfiguration during train-sets auto-coupling in absence of double level architecture.

Rolling stock network switch, managed, layer 2, supports up to five 10GBASE-T Ethernet ports, eleven 1000BASE-T Ethernet ports (4 of them with PoE+ capability) and twelve 100BASE-T ports with optional PoE+ capability, support for VLANs, STP/RSTP protocol. QoS policies, type approved EN 50155. Layer 3 capabilities among different VLANs.

10/100 Mbps model of Consist Switch with automatic reconfiguration features as well as hardware bypass. Complete rolling stock network switch, managed, layer 2, up to 14 Fast Ethernet ports, support for QoS, VLANs, STP/RSTP protocol, QoS policies, type approved EN 50155. PoE option available.

Coupled-Switch© provides a high availability solution with up to 2 Gbps backbone bandwidth together with fixed recovery time in case of failure. Coupled-Switch© architecture allows end devices dual homing connections in order to increase network availability.
